Visiting Japan
This section is not just for our employees but for anyone who is planning to visit Japan from India.
Japan has a rich and vibrant history and culture. The country and its people are admired by the rest of the world. But travelling within Japan - as in any other country - presents problems unless you've done your homework. So here's some information that we hope you will find useful. We will update it whenever we can.
For Visiting Japan:
- The population of Japan is about 130 million, out of which the Senior citizens (elderly people of age group 65 years or above) contributes to almost 30% of the total population.
There are four seasons in Japan, namely winter, autumn, summer and spring. Bangalore can be considered as an alternative place to stay comfortably during summer, as the summer in Japan is very hot.
- The basic working hours in Japan is almost the same as India, i.e., between 9:00am to 6:00pm.
There are also other employment options like call centers, Business process out sourcing where people work in different shifts, depending on the clients working hours, may be night shifts.
- Among the Japanese language and culture, Kanji's are very popular compared to Hiragana or Katakana in foreign countries, as we can see most of the foreigners using these Kanji's printed on their T-Shirts and other gift items.
- There is an Indian embassy is in Tokyo and an Indian Consulate General in Osaka. The Indian satellite channels are broadcasted in the Indian embassy in Tokyo.
- The cultural exchange between India and Japan is on for quiet a long time now.
- The consultant company, the construction company, and the trading company, etc., are venturing into Indian markets. Recently Japanese company had participated in the construction of the Delhi Metro, one of the prestigious projects. The technology and the expertise of Japan are used there.
- Japan is looking at India to invest in various segments like automotive, software, etc., the major contribution is from the growth of the Information Technology. A variety of Japanese enterprises are venturing in to India and exploring the business opportunity to establish their presence in the Indian markets.
